Where to start? Well if your keeping up with our site then you may know we are back in Arnold MD trying to make it work once again. We look back on last year and we are now thankful for not getting away from the dock as we had planned! If we got out on schedule - Hurricane Sandy probably would have takin us out! Or if we made it passed that there are many things that we have found wrong with the boat that would have made for a dangerous trip. It's the small things that are important in life .... Like the 6 little screw bolts that hold on the main hatches that were so rusted inside and eroded that they just fell apart... In heavy seas, heavy water those are not what you want breaking..... So little older, little wiser, little safer!
As Bruce mentioned we are alone,(I still have voices with me) no kids - no one to blame when wrenches go missing. So I am officially the tool, parts runner.
LISTS get made, PLANS get changed, but we will keep working on our DREAM until we are no longer able to or we accomplish it.
Determination, and a whole lot of stubbornness ... I told Bruce I don't care if we re sailing out of here with 6 inches of snow we are not going home this year. It would only be a few hundred miles until we hit warm weather. And like I said we bought cold weather gear we might as well test it. Besides if we went home what would we be doing ? Spending 3/10 hours put pushing snow freezing our asses anyway! At least the cold here is still warmer.
So to wrap up the last month we have been here.... Never enough time in a day, never enough money in the bank and never a good picture of me ! Lol
