So what are the littlest things to you that turn out to be BIG! Or most memorable? Ya ya everyone will say weddings, births, etc etc. But I'm talking about the little times... Maybe a first Halloween costume? or Kids first time on potty!!! I wont mention a certain picture Donavon... Just a quick conversation sometimes you have with someone that you just know that you both will remember it forever. My little times range from kids, work, growing up with 3 big brothers! But as we can not plan most memorable moments some we can create, or shall I say we can start our own traditions. As some of you may have read, we started a yearly pumpkin carving contest with our 3 boys. There is just never enough competition with 4 big boys!!! So everyone figured theirs were the best so we decided to carve and let the good old Facebook friends vote on who has the best. We upload them and no one knows who's who's, and the most likes (one vote each) wins..... The winner gets to boast for the year and gets to take possession of the stainless steel beer mug, and have their name, and year engraved on it. (and it is to be filled). So this is just our 3rd year but I think this will be something that will be passed on in this family and as we get grandchildren - we may have to get more mugs! But this is a little thing that doesn't cost much but time. Memories are being made so that in 10-20 years we will all look back and still argue who's was better! lol So best of luck boys but mommapirate has this one in the bag this year.
NOW as another little view on little things..... I started a little job or I thought it would not be time consuming. Clean, sand, clean, coat, sand, clean, coat.......few hours later, my hands and wrist are tired. I will be finishing this weekend but I have learned that things are not always as they may seem. I will be posting some pics on sailwithsparta to show some progress.
So please vote and enjoy the 2013 Paton Halloween carving contest. And if we can all do this with all of us scattered from West coast of Canada to East coast of USA you can create your little meaning full moments.
